Our Organizational Chart is designed to allow protection for the overall vision of the project while encouraging input from elected officials and community members. We incorporated in 2006 but this Grassroots project began in 2001. A local community member presented the original concept at an Alliance for Progress meeting in Campton, KY.  The project was adopted and nurtured by the Appalachian Heritage Alliance. A local Advisory Board was formed. New partners, particularly the Mt. Parkway Trails Corridor and Southern and Eastern Kentucky Tourism and Development Association, embraced the project. Our By-laws require each of these entities be represented on the Board of Directors.
